What moves you up or down the range.
Size
Smaller homes and townhomes need less capacity; large detached homes need more.
Single-stage or variable-speed
Variable-speed (inverter) systems cost more but control humidity better and keep upper floors cooler.
Efficiency
Higher-efficiency systems cost more upfront and less to run.
Brands we install.
We are a Lennox Certified Contractor and authorized dealer for Daikin, Mitsubishi, KeepRite, GE and Continental equipment and also install King Home, Mits Air and our Climate Experts private-label line. Every installation includes a matching evaporator coil. Manufacturer parts warranties are typically 10 to 12 years, with extended labour coverage available on select brands through Maintenance 365 Plus.
What can add to the price.
These are quoted separately when needed:
Electrical
A new circuit, breaker or disconnect, or an electrical permit.
Line set and pad
Replacing old refrigerant lines or relocating the outdoor unit.
Condensate
A condensate pump if there is no floor drain nearby.
Furnace compatibility
Very old furnaces may limit airflow; we will tell you if that affects the choice.
Consider a heat pump.
A heat pump installs like an air conditioner but also heats your home in milder weather, and qualifying models can earn Ontario rebates. Compare heat pump prices or read about A/C installation.

Common questions.
How much is a new central air conditioner in Ontario?
Our installations start under $5,000 before HST with a matching coil, and most homeowners in the Pickering and Durham area pay between $6,500 and $10,000. Large variable-speed systems can cost more.
What size air conditioner do I need?
It depends on insulation, windows, sun exposure and ductwork as well as square footage. We size the system for your home rather than matching the old unit.
Is a variable-speed A/C worth the extra cost?
It runs longer at lower speed, which improves humidity control and comfort on upper floors and uses less electricity. It suits homes with uneven cooling or high comfort expectations.
Do I need a new furnace with a new A/C?
Not always. If your furnace is in good condition and compatible, we can replace the A/C on its own.
