Lennox equipment: compare the system, not just the badge
These manufacturer-published families are a starting point for a proposal. We confirm Canadian distributor availability, the exact model and capacity, and the equipment we recommend for your home before ordering.
SLP99V / SLP99VK furnace
For a modulating SLP99V proposal, Climate Experts compares the minimum firing rate with your home’s smaller heating demands as well as its winter design load. We review return-air capacity, vent and condensate routing, and the selected communicating control so a premium furnace can deliver the longer, steadier cycles you are buying it for.

EL297V furnace
Climate Experts can compare the EL297V’s two heating stages with a modulating alternative using the comfort problems you actually want to solve. In a Durham replacement, we check the existing filter and return-air arrangement and explain the thermostat choice before deciding how the furnace will share airflow with your cooling equipment.

SL25KCV air conditioner
For SL25KCV cooling, Climate Experts checks whether your existing indoor equipment can communicate with the proposed outdoor unit before recommending a partial replacement. We also review summer humidity complaints and airflow at lower compressor output; the proposal should name the coil, blower and control that support the quoted cooling rating.

SL22KLV cold-climate heat pump
An SL22KLV assessment with Climate Experts starts with the home’s winter heat loss and the exact system’s output at the temperatures your neighbourhood experiences. We compare that output with the backup heat requirement, then plan defrost drainage and outdoor placement so winter operation is considered alongside summer efficiency.

Maximum efficiency ratings apply to specific tested combinations. Your proposal identifies the matched indoor and outdoor equipment; an operating-temperature limit does not guarantee full heating capacity at that temperature.
Choosing Lennox for your home
A Lennox furnace replacement should start with the rooms that are hard to heat, the noise you want to reduce and the ductwork already in your home. We compare a modulating furnace with simpler options and look at how its blower will work with your air conditioner or heat pump. The most expensive model is not automatically the best fit for every Toronto or Durham home.
For an older Toronto home, we assess available airflow, return-air paths and equipment access before choosing the furnace and cooling combination. For a renovation or custom home, we coordinate mechanical space, thermostat locations and distribution before the finishes are complete. A variable-capacity outdoor unit still needs a correctly matched indoor coil and controls.
Before equipment is ordered
We review the heating and cooling requirements, installation access and service space. The written proposal names the equipment, controls and agreed work.
When the installation is complete
We commission the system, explain the controls and maintenance, and document the applicable registration and warranty details.
Lennox warranty: parts, equipment and labour
Coverage depends on the exact equipment, Canadian certificate, installation and registration. Parts, heat exchangers, equipment replacement and labour are separate benefits. Read the family-specific terms above; our written proposal identifies the coverage for your selected system.

Lennox questions homeowners ask
Is a modulating Lennox furnace worth considering?
Consider it when steady room temperatures and quiet, longer heating cycles are priorities. We also compare a two-stage alternative, because duct condition, sizing and installation determine how much of the difference you will feel.
Why do Lennox efficiency numbers vary between websites?
Ratings depend on the exact equipment match. The SL25KCV public headline and detailed specification differ; we use the detailed specification here and confirm the proposal’s tested AHRI combination.
Can a Lennox heat pump work with a gas furnace?
A compatible heat pump, furnace and control can support dual-fuel heating. The heating load and low-temperature performance determine how the system changes between heat sources.
Will my existing thermostat work?
Some equipment needs a Lennox communicating control to deliver its full features. We identify the thermostat, indoor coil and furnace or air handler as one complete system.
What is included in a Lennox installation quote?
The quote identifies the selected equipment and controls, installation scope, applicable warranty and any confirmed rebates. Tell us about comfort problems, planned renovations and access restrictions so those needs can be assessed before the scope is agreed.
Can you maintain my Lennox system after installation?
Contact our Pickering service team for maintenance planning. The visit and schedule depend on the equipment, its condition and the manufacturer’s requirements. Maintenance 365 options can be reviewed with the specific systems you want covered.
