In-floor & radiant heating
for warm, welcoming rooms.

A warm floor can make a cold basement, bathroom or living area a space you look forward to using. Climate Experts installs, repairs and maintains hydronic in-floor heating, with the tubing, heat source and controls planned together. Our Pickering team helps you understand what will work in your existing home and what the installation involves.

Comfort starts with the floor and the room.

Floor warmth and whole-room heating are different goals. Before selecting equipment, we discuss how you use the space, where it feels cold and whether the floor is intended to provide all of the room’s heat or supplement another system. A proper plan considers heat loss, available floor area, insulation and the finished flooring.

For a renovation, we review floor height, access and the work needed to route piping and locate a manifold. For existing radiant floors, we assess the arrangement already installed. A boiler with spare-looking connections is not proof that it has the capacity or controls needed for another heating zone.

Radiant in-floor heating: comfort from the floor up.

A chilly basement, bathroom or renovated living area can change the way you use your home. Hydronic in-floor heating circulates warm water through tubing within an appropriate floor assembly. The aim may be floor comfort, part of the room’s heating, or the primary heat for the area; we establish that goal before deciding on the installation.

Plan the floor assembly

Slab installations and retrofit panel systems have different construction requirements. We review access, insulation, floor height and the work involved alongside the renovation.

Review the finished floor

Tile, wood, vinyl and carpet do not transfer heat in the same way. The proposed assembly must account for the flooring manufacturer’s requirements and the heat the room needs.

Select circulation & temperatures

Tubing layout, loop lengths, flow and water temperatures work together. Different radiator and floor circuits may require different temperature-control arrangements.

Slab-sensing thermostats for comfort

Climate Experts uses thermostats with slab sensors for radiant in-floor heating. These sensors measure the floor temperature so compatible controls can manage floor warmth alongside room comfort and the limits appropriate to the floor finish.

Floor temperature matters to everyday comfort.

A comfortable heated floor needs more than a thermostat reading the air. Our slab-sensing thermostats monitor the floor itself, allowing compatible controls to maintain a comfortable floor temperature and apply suitable maximum-temperature limits. We configure the room and floor settings around the heating goal and the flooring requirements, then explain how to adjust them. Because a slab takes time to warm up and cool down, thoughtful settings support steady comfort rather than frequent large temperature changes.

A new heated floor is not automatically a simple connection to any existing boiler. We assess heat-source capacity, connected temperatures, pumps, manifolds and controls. Where the scope includes changes to the existing system, those belong in the written installation proposal.

If you already have in-floor heating, tell us which area is affected and whether its performance has changed. We can assess the relevant controls and hydronic components before recommending the next step.

Slab sensors, zoning and steady floor comfort.

Climate Experts uses slab-sensing thermostats for radiant in-floor heating. The floor sensor gives compatible controls a reading of the slab temperature, so the system can manage floor comfort alongside room temperature and appropriate flooring limits. We explain the settings and help you avoid unnecessary large temperature setbacks on a slow-responding slab.

Where separate rooms need different schedules or temperatures, we review manifold circuits, zone valves, pumps and controls as one system. Different floor finishes or radiator circuits may also call for different supply-water temperatures. The control arrangement needs to suit those requirements, rather than simply connecting every zone to the same temperature.

Radiant heating installation & replacement, with a clear scope.

We begin with your existing equipment, the spaces you want to improve and the budget you want to work within. Climate Experts explains the selected equipment, connections, controls, access and installation work before you make a decision. The accepted installation scope has a fixed price from start to finish, without hidden fees; any change you request is discussed and agreed before additional work proceeds.

Radiant heating service, repairs & maintenance.

If performance has changed, tell us which area is affected and what you have noticed. Our team checks the relevant heat source, circulation, controls and connected equipment before recommending repairs. A problem at one component can affect the entire circuit, so our hydronic experience helps us look beyond the part that first appears to be at fault.

For an urgent request, call us directly. We offer emergency service within 24 hours, including after hours on evenings and weekends. For ongoing care, we can review separately quoted hydronic equipment coverage through Maintenance 365. Your plan should reflect the equipment your home actually has.

Questions about your heating system.

Can you add radiant heating to an existing home?

Often, but the practical approach depends on floor construction, insulation, access and the heating system. We review those details before proposing a slab or retrofit arrangement.

Can radiant heating work with an electric boiler or air-to-water heat pump?

A suitable all-electric heat source can be part of the plan. Equipment selection still depends on heat loss, required water temperatures, electrical capacity and the distribution system.

Why is one floor zone cold?

Possible causes include controls, valves, circulation or heat-source operation. We assess the installed system before recommending a repair.
